I’m Mark Don McInnes. My path to North Idaho took me from Southern California’s beaches to Lake Tahoe’s mountains—and eventually to a place where I could build a career helping others find their own place to call home.
From the coast to the mountains
I grew up around the Orange County beaches, including Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach. Before and after serving in the Navy, I worked in printing production and sales. The ocean and bodysurfing were a constant part of my life.
A move to the San Fernando Valley brought a new career in paving and parking lot maintenance. I learned the trade and started my own company, growing it from a small truck into a business with asphalt trucks and maintenance equipment.
Finding my way north
In the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area, I began working at a ski resort as a snowmaker and later managed transportation and parking. I also returned to paving work before another move north brought Sandpoint into view.
Sandpoint offered the beauty, water, and recreation I loved, with a smaller community. I earned my real estate license before leaving California, ready for a career that combined continued learning with helping people.

My years with Keller Williams included working on a top-producing team and serving as Managing Broker for the Sandpoint office. In November 2020, Rain Silverhawk and I opened Sandpoint Realty LLC, carrying that commitment to personal service into our own brokerage.
