With my open house this weekend I was reminded of the dark nights and deep quiet of mountain cabins that can only be found away from city bustle. small portion of Priest Lake.

The early morning sun breaks through the trees sending long shadows and rays of soft light past the creek onto the rear lawn and into the window of the house. Occasional bird chirps being all that break the quiet. Enjoying a morning mocha on the rear deck I felt it important to try and express the quiet of the home.

Every person coming through the ‘Open House’ last week was amazed at the size of 440 Creekside Drive. Yet in all the size is also found a very sensible floor plan. Wendy and Adam had an idea what they were looking for and we searched from Bonners Ferry to Sagle to Clark Fork to Priest River to find the home they knew was perfect the moment they walked in. While we did not know it at the time, finding the home even with the declining inventory, was going to be the easy part.
I focus on communication in any transaction. With ‘out of state’ buyers I am even more cognizant of its’ importance. I feel every detail need be relayed and let the buyers decide what is ‘too much’. move to new location in Bonners Ferry Idaho. Having been located on Kootenai Street in Downtown Bonners Ferry, they are now located on South Hill in Bonners Ferry on Highway 95.
While not all the finishing touches are complete, this seems, in my opinion, a fantastic move for multiple reasons. Much more exposure with Highway 95 frontage. Easier access for anyone going there. Off street parking at the building. A fresh clean move can rekindle some sparks that may have been fading. I personally look forward to hearing about, and seeing, the growth this move will make for Sharlene and company.
When searching for a home in North Idaho more than just the home and property plays a big part of the choices a person makes. The land, views, local events, schools and much more all should come into consideration. In any community, or area, this is the case and especially when planning on ‘Living In North Idaho’.
Vicious storm cells passed up the North Idaho Panhandle last night. Hot temperatures and the cooler rain clouds made for perfect storm conditions. Just south of Bonners Ferry Idaho I passed thru a hard rain storm cell with sun breaking through and past the Selkirk Mountain Ridges. I headed to higher ground, and clear views from Highway 95. Another Sandpoint Lightning Storm was moving north towards Bonners Ferry Idaho.
Sandpoint Rotary Chafe 150 is not an event you decide the night before to do. Even a month before would be trying for most, and almost impossible without biking experience. A bicycle ride around a section of the Cabinet Mountain range. You guessed it…150 miles starting in Sandpoint and ending same. Two lesser mileage rides, of 80 and 30, are available to make the experience available to as many as possible, not just the hard core bicyclists who tackle the full and challenging 150 miles.
Having enjoyed the 80 mile challenge last year I was impressed with the camaraderie of practiced and seasoned riders with those just beginning, or not nearly as advanced. I completed the 80 mile and was passed by many of the 150 riders. To a person there were words of encouragement, as they passed, knowing full well they had caught up with one of the 80 milers. I was very impressed from beginning to end with the experience.
